My Journey To Becoming A Therapist

I know the pressures that can be felt both internally and externally as we walk the path of life, and I know the continuous journey of self-love is a daily practice that takes work. When we begin to understand the stories that influence our everyday moments, we can learn how to navigate through many different terrains. My life experiences have led me to become the therapist and coach I am today.

For nearly 20 years, I have worked with children, families, and professionals from all walks of life. My clinical style is holistic and integrative, drawing upon both eastern and western evidence-based practices. I utilize a strength-based approach, and weave together components of person-centered therapy, cognitive behavior therapy, solution-focused therapy, coaching, and mindfulness.

Helping People Energizes Me

The most rewarding thing about being a therapist and coach is seeing you discover your own inner wisdom for you to lead a more fulfilling, connected, and meaningful life. As Brene Brown shares, “Owning our story and loving ourselves through that process is the bravest thing we’ll ever do.”

People who know me often say I am a good listener who helps you feel heard, seen and understood. I have a natural ability to:

  • Empower you to recognize your strengths
  • Help you identify what you’re feeling
  • Partner with you to set and achieve your goals
  • Inspire hope for getting better

Our Sessions Are Focused On You

Our sessions will provide you with the space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and goals. Our sessions will fit your specific needs and concerns.

As A Therapist and Coach, I Embrace These Philosophies

  • I believe that emotions heal when they are witnessed and validated
  • I believe that therapy should address the person as a whole – their mind, body, and spirit
  • I believe that taking care of yourself is the most generous thing you can do for the world
  • I believe that loving and accepting ourselves for who we are, scars and all, is one of the most courageous things we can do

3 STEP PROCESS TO GET STARTED

01

When you reach out, you will talk to our Administrative Assistant Elise, share what is going on for you, ask any questions you may have and if it is determined that we are a good fit, you will get scheduled for your first session with me.

02

Elise will gather information and send you an email to register for our client portal to complete documentation prior to our initial 50-minute session.

03

All online sessions are held via video, in which you will be sent a link prior to the appointment day/time. You will begin your healing journey with your therapist by establishing a connection first, sharing your story and discovering what your goals are. Therapy is an active process and unique to each individual.
